In the course of his career, portrait artist Don Bachardy has sketched and painted the likenesses of hundreds of celebrated and respected actors, artists, writers, poets, musicians, and dancers. His work can be found in numerous public collections, including those of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Smithsonian Institute, the National Portrait Gallery in London, and the de Young Museum of Art in San Francisco. A good friend to Jack Larson and James Bridges, Bachardy painted and sketched personal portraits of the couple, which will be sold on February 21 to benefit the Bridges/Larson Foundation.
