In 1985, Roy Lichtenstein teamed up with Gemini G.E.L. to produce the Landscapes Series, one of the many collaborations with the Los Angeles workshop since the beginning of their relationship in 1969. Of the seven lithograph, woodblock, and screenprint images from this series, LAMA will be offering Moonscape (1985) in the October 13th auction, which utilizes the most colors, a combination of 45 different hues ranging from Bocour blue to transparent orange. Another work from Landscapes, View from a Window (1985), resides in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. Continue reading for more information about Moonscape in LAMA’s upcoming auction.
