In Support of Jori Finkel, The L.A. Times Arts Reporter

July 11, 2013

The consistent developments and progress within the arts community in Los Angeles is truly exciting and inspiring, and because of this, the recent news about The Los Angeles Times letting go of the former arts reporter, Jori Finkel, has come as a shock.

As we to move into the future and continue to innovate in this booming, arts-centric city, it is imperative that a noted and respected reporter, such as Jori, covers the events that are taking place and to document the history we are making in Los Angeles.

Please sign the Change.org petition set up by the Hammer Museum director Ann Philbin if you agree that the art reporter position is important and should be restored.

I was perusing old articles and I found an LA Times article on the history of LAMA, how Peter and Shannon met, and how they run the business today (well as of 1999). Definitely worth a revisit. Check out the article here.
