Describing his work as "a visual diary," Los Angeles-based painter Jonas Wood enjoyed a swift rise to market prominence beginning in the early 2000s. His distinct Pop-inflected style "connects the dots from Henri Matisse to Stuart Davis to David Hockney," as described by The New Yorker. With warm colors and layered semi-abstractions, Wood's landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and interiors have quickly become a favorite among contemporary collectors.
