The Indomitable Spirit, consisting of a traveling exhibition, benefit auction, and limited edition portfolio, was the first project by Photographers + Friends, a New York City-based, not-for-profit organization founded in 1988 in the interest of raising awareness of the AIDS crisis and providing financial support for medical research, advocacy, and education.
