The Peacock and Dragon pattern is one of Morris’s most popular designs. Conceived in 1878, the design was first woven at Queen Square and later at Merton Abbey in Wandsworth. The design was employed in the drawing room at Morris’s own home, Kelmscott House, Hammersmith, London.
