MORE INFORMATION:

This was custom designed for the IBM Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair. Another computer controlled puppet show, this production utilizes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s well known character of Sherlock Holmes to demonstrate "2-valued Logic." The title panel explains, "Since computers are made of switches with only two positions, on or off, they can be used to solve problems in 2-valued logic." When the show began, the title panel would slide out of the way to reveal mechanical figures on a miniature stage.
