MORE INFORMATION:

This was custom designed for the IBM Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair. A super-enlarged electronic processor was part of the display that helped de-mystify the computer. This fascinating object is a time capsule of technology from 1964, but perhaps more interesting is that it is a work of Pop Art in it’s own right. It was almost certainly created out of a sense of awareness of oversized works by artists like Oldenberg and Warhol.
