Depero met Marinetti, Balla and Cangiullo in Rome at The Futurist Gallery Giuseppe Sprovieri, 1913, and became an active member of the Futurist movement. He participated in the Prima Esposizione Libera Futurista in 1914 and in 1915 published a manifesto on the Futurist reconstruction of the universe with Giacomo Balla. The manifesto advocated the application of the Futurist theory to all aspects of art and design, espousing the group's penchant for psychological and extra-sensory perception. Signed 'Depero' lower margin, nicely framed.
